Used Construction Equipment European Sales & Demand in the First Half of 2018
Mascus.com is a global listing web site featuring more than 400,000 used heavy machinery and industrial vehicles for sale from 6,000 professional sellers (traders, dealers and OEMs). Additionally, Mascus builds custom mobile apps, web shops, marketing tools and various software solutions for OEMs and heavy machinery dealers.
This report aims at revealing the trends in the used construction equipment market in Europe during the first half of 2018, through a deep analysis of the demand and offer of construction machinery present on Mascus. Our conclusions are based on an average of more than 127,000 monthly used construction equipment listed for sale during this period.
Used construction equipment for sale in Europe in the first half of 2018
During the first half of 2018, a total of 107,229 used construction equipment listings located in Europe were removed from Mascus by sellers and 120,594 were added and listed for sale. We are noticing that there is a preference and higher demand for some categories of equipment compared to others. Excavators and wheel loaders are raising the highest interest, while the most popular brands remain Caterpillar, Volvo Construction Equipment and JCB.

Our data can provide us with valuable information in regards to the location of the highest demand for used equipment in Europe. Although as expected, the demand comes mostly from West European countries, Finland and Sweden are also a good demand pool in the North, while Poland comes in on third place. Interestingly, buyers from United States are a rather significant faction of the demand for construction equipment located in Europe.
